Big Changes With a Lot of Help From Our Friends!
In mid August we wrapped up our series of summer film labs. The classes went well, but we have learned that kids tend to scatter during the summer months, so we will be revamping our 2020 Summer schedule with shorter week long boot camps. We are always learning on this journey!
We moved on August 13th and thanks to our officers and staff we were up and running for our next summer lab class on the 16th. Shortly after moving in we were blessed with an offering of free office furniture and equipment by Identity Games as they closed their Snohomish office 2 floors above us. We were blessed to receive desks, chairs, shelving and were able to purchase 2 Mac desk top computers at a massive discount! God is not only good, but has great timing!
In September we began a partnership with Peachjar, the distribution company for all e-fliers serving Everett, Monroe and Lake Stevens School Districts. We can now reach thousands of homes with our class info! Our Fall schedule was distributed and 6 new students signed up!
On Monday, September 9th we held the 2nd Annual Ripple Golf Classic and there was so much to be thankful for! After soggy Sunday night and a forecast of showers for Monday, the rain was held back on Monday afternoon. 10 foursomes completed the scramble format event in good time and we all enjoyed beverages and a hot meal of tacos and delicious sides!
Here is a video produced by our staff that we all watched together explaining why we do what we do.
We can never do these events without the help of so many people that go the extra mile!
A huge THANK YOU to:
Bob and Avon Pelsang our fellow officers and board members who truly walk side by side with us in our efforts!
Our videographers and instructors, Chris Gove and Ashley Pederson who worked tirelessly to put together our video presentation and served as our photographer and videographer for the event!
Thank you to the staff of Mill Creek CC who always makes our jobs easy and our social time fun and relaxing!
Thank you to all our sponsors who's extra support make the event a success!
And of course, all our contestants who pay the entry along with generous extra donations and support us with encouragement and community resources!
Planning the event was an extra challenge this year as we had to balance our planning time with our move into a new and improved headquarters in Snohomish. We are now located in the basement suite of 1118 First Street. We have an alley entrance just off Ave C behind Cat House Pizza.
The painting and arranging continues at the "Digital Gym" and thanks to the success of our tournament will be filled with more editing and production equipment. We hope to host a Holiday Open House so stay tune for further updates!
