Work is underway on our new student workshop space, The Digital Loft. Central Faith Church in Snohomish which runs The Spot Teen Drop-in Center has provided us over 1000 square feet in a second story loft overlooking the teen center. we are on track to complete our plans of installing 2 video editing suites for use during our next class, Documentary Filmmaking which begins on April 12th. In this intermediate level class students will learn to use professional video and sound equipment to tell the story of a local organization and then edit their film on a Adobe Premier.

2018 Ministry Recap
After finalizing all the details of our organization and forming our board of directors Carrie stepped down from her position as director of the drop-in center. Though we continue to partner with Central Faith Church to provide meals and activities for the after school program, time was freed up to begin planning our learning programs and fundraising strategies. THANK YOU to the Pelsangs and everyone that helped us in September to raise over $8000 through the first Ripple Ministries Golf Classic. Since September we have finished our first course syllabus. The Teen Storytellers Project is scheduled to begin January 11th. Additional fundraising plans to acquire the equipment needed for intermediate and advanced film courses are in the works. You can stay up to date by visiting us here at RippleMinistries.org and joining our email list. Find us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/rippleministries.org
Thank you for your prayers and support!
All the preparation, paperwork and fundraising over the last 2 years has brought us to this happy day! Students between the ages of 13 and 18 can sign up for our first workshop. Thanks to the hard work of Director of Programming, Mike Edwards, Instructors, Chris Gove and Ashley Pederson our beginning level film class is in its final stages of preparation.
In "Teen Storytellers Project-Introduction to Filmmaking" students will be introduced to the foundational concepts of storytelling through the medium of film. They will develop an understanding of key ideas and processes of filmmaking from pre-production, through filming, to editing and post production.
Each student will be assigned an I-pad to be used on campus. Parents are invited to view each student’s project at a showcase following the last session. The class will include two optional-attendance “Pizza and Movie Nights” where concepts of filmmaking will be discussed
Registration opens on Monday, December 10th and runs through the 17th of January. Our goal for this pilot program is to enroll 6 students at a discounted rate or scholarship those in need of assistance. The class will be perfect for beginners or kids that love shooting with their phones.
The class will meet at the Spot Teen Drop-in Center from 1 to 5 PM every Friday starting January 11th and wrapping up on February 15th with a showcase to follow. If you know of a student who would like to join the class they can get more information and register at rippleministries.org.

On Monday, September 10thRipple Ministries sponsored our first major fundraiser, The Annual Ripple Ministries Golf Classic at Mill Creek CC. It was a great time of friendly golf competition between 7 foursomes followed by a yummy dinner, the lovely sounds of Kelsey Keogh Cate. The end result was a good time had and over $10,000 raised for our support of the teen drop-in center and our future program plans.
The event’s fundraising efforts were advanced by generous donations by several business owners that either sponsored a hole or just gave an extra donation benevolently. These generous donors deserve another mention:
Dr Tracy Quickstad, Clearview Family Dentistry. Fule Golf Snacks
The Snohomish UPS Store Mike Wehrman, UBS Capstone Wealth Management
Mark Pfeil, Prostar Insurance Harvey Development LLC
Raen Aero LLC Nothwest Flying Service
Harvey Airfield Skydive Snohomish
David and Jeanine San Clamente-Thompson Freemont Dock Company
Thanks to these generous donors we have been able to contribute to the food supplies and have set up a monthly donation for future meals.
We now have the funds needed to prepare for and schedule out first youth media class in January. Over the next weeks our instructors will be completing the syllabus and we will be visiting a program in San Diego that models many of the aspects we hope to build into our program. Watch in the weeks ahead for more updates on our progress and introduce you to our instructors.
Thank you again for all the support that has made our progress possible!

We hope to add to our goal to raise $20,000 toward student programs with a Firework stand in July and the first annual golf event in September. With hard work and God's grace we hope launch our media production club in September of 2018 and full media production camps by January 2019.Stand by for more news and ways you can get involved!
Now that we are officially recognized as a tax-exempt corp. it's time to start doing what we can to fund more programs, purchase new equipment and help students in need.
